Federico Fiorentini

Federico Fiorentini (Milan, 1972) spent his early childhood in Palo Alto, California, an experience that shaped his sensibility. After returning to Italy, he trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, beginning with sculpture before turning to painting — the medium that became central to his research.
His work reflects recurring themes: time, memory, and the fragile nature of experience. He often starts from photographs taken during travels or daily life, transforming them into softened, imperfect images that carry both vision and emotion. His paintings evoke silences, absences, and the traces that memory leaves behind.
Fiorentini has exhibited internationally and has lived and worked in cities such as New York, Berlin, Bali, Carrara, and Florence, which remains his artistic home. For him, everything is transformation: each painting becomes a dialogue between past and present, visible and invisible, and the attentive viewer.
