FILIPPO BRAGATT
Filippo Bragatt is an Italian contemporary artist with a distinctive expressive style, capable of blending pop, pulp, and design elements into an artistic practice that spans painting, installation, and interventions involving objects and spaces. Born in Milan and with deep ties to the hills of Emilia, he lives and develops his creative journey across both urban environments and more intimate settings, transforming every experience into narrative material. His work is characterized by large-scale portraits, visual hybrids, and references to contemporary culture, all approached with a direct, ironic, and often provocative style. His pieces explore themes of identity, collective memory, and communication dynamics, aiming to evoke emotional reactions and spark reflection in the viewer. Alongside painting, Bragatt has engaged with design, fashion, and public art. Among his best-known works is the installation "Never Let Your Brain Sit" donated to the Municipality of Santa Margherita Ligure which reflects on the relationship between humanity and nature. His artistic practice draws on the energy of Pop Art and international Street Art while maintaining a unique voice that combines narrative lightness with conceptual depth. For Bragatt, art is a tool for dialogue and transformation a medium capable of chronicling the present, challenging conventions, and forging authentic connections between people. In addition to his studio work, Bragatt is known for live painting performances, where he translates the energy of the creative act onto the canvas before an audience. He is regarded as one of the most original voices on the Italian contemporary art scene an artist who successfully fuses visual impact, pop culture, and conceptual inquiry into works that engage directly with the times we live in.
